On October 23, 2020, in Dushanbe, the conference with the participation of 50 representatives of relevant ministries and departments, international organizations and representatives of local communities, which was dedicated to the International Snow Leopard Day was held by the National Biodiversity and Biosafety Center of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, together with the UNDP.

5 presentations and reports with the context of conservation of snow leopard ecosystems, its hunting species, methods and technologies for monitoring and controlling ecosystem with usage of modern technologies and equipment, mountain forests health, pastures and methods of their restoration, studying the snow leopard and it’s ecosystems were presented in the conference, partners and local stakeholders presented the results of small grant projects, videos and other topics related to environmental protection and sustainable use of biodiversity.

On behalf of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizod Bakhodur, the head of the Administration Department of the Committee, Yusupov Jumakhon, made a welcoming speech on the country's environmental policy in the field of biodiversity conservation, about initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Leader of the Nation respected Emomali Rahmon on environmental protection issues. It was noted that the Committee has signed a number of agreements on the protection of snow leopard and wildlife ecosystems which made a contribution to the protection of ecosystems and rare species of flora and fauna, as well as biodiversity in Tajikistan.

Employees of the National Biodiversity and Biosafety Center, the National Center for Environmental Action and the State Institutions of the Research Laboratory for Nature Protection made their presentations and reports on the results and achievements in the conservation of snow leopard ecosystems and its hunting species, restoration of forests and pastures, international experiences and archived results.

The project partners made a number of presentations and speeches on the work which was done and the results achieved in the field of protection and conservation of ecosystems of the snow leopard and its hunting species. Also, at the conference, the participants were presented the achievements of the project in the form of books, albums, paintings and equipment.

At the end of the conference, active partners of the project for their contribution to the achievement of results in the protection of the ecosystems of the snow leopard and its hunting objects were awarded by the memorable gift in the nominations for the protection of ecosystems of the snow leopard and its hunting objects, propaganda, raising awareness and information of the population, the introduction of energy-saving technologies.
