The concept of the National Action Plan for the snow leopard and its ecosystems protection was prepared by a group of experts under the UNDP / GEF project on the conservation of the snow leopard in the high mountains of the Pamir Alay and Tien Shan.
The joint cooperation of Panthera and the UNDP / GEF project on snow leopard protection and sustainable community livelihoods will help to more effectively integrate the SMART anti-poaching program in target protected areas (PAs).

On February 23, 2017, the Working meeting on establishment of the National Committee for conservation and sustainable management of ecosystems of the Snow Leopard and its prey will be held under the UNDP/GEF Project "Conservation and sustainable use of Pamir Alay and Tien Shan ecosystems for snow leopard protection and sustainable community livelihoods".
